Since March 2022, I have been serving as Chief of the Department of General and Visceral Surgery at Asklepios Klinikum Hamburg-Altona. Prior to this, I spent nine years in a senior leadership role in the Department of Visceral and Thoracic Surgery at Hamburg-Eppendorf.

My clinical focus areas include colorectal, pancreatic, esophageal, and gastric surgery. I am board-certified in Visceral Surgery, including Specialized Visceral Surgery, Proctology, and Thoracic Surgery.

Over the past twelve years, I have made significant contributions to the advancement of minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgical techniques, both scientifically and clinically.
